“Therapy can make a huge change in your life. I have seen personally and professionally what therapy can do for people and I want that for you.”
My approach as a clinical social worker is one that views all areas of you as a person. I believe that God created us with a mind, a body, and a soul that are all important and work together. We are complex beings and there are many things that can cause us to experience pain. We will take the time to explore what is causing difficulty in these areas and with this awareness, we will seek healing and wholeness.
I have found that I work best with teens, young adults, and moms. I have a particular heart for those who want to heal from and change wounds/patterns that were developed from past traumas or family of origin. I also work with those experiencing anxiety or depression, those learning to manage and cope with ADHD or OCD, and women experiencing pregnancy related issues. I work from a variety of theories but also firmly believe that the process of being loved and known by self, others, and God is what brings healing. I balance creating space for you to be heard and understood with approaches that help make practical and lasting change. My approach is collaborative, and I will journey alongside you and offer encouragement, hope, and compassion along the way.
I am a practicing Catholic and my own beliefs fuel what I do. My job is not just a job to me-it is a privilege. You are welcoming me into some of the most vulnerable pieces of your life and I will walk into that gently as we work towards growth and healing.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Illinois and Florida. I am currently also working towards my PhD in Counselor Supervision and Education from Divine Mercy University.

Michael Roszyk, MSW, LCSW
THERAPIST
Children, Teens, Adults
#fhtogglels/Read Full Bio/Close/ib
My name is Michael, and I have had the privilege of walking alongside children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient, community, and school-based settings. I believe God created us for connection and to care for one another in times of need, and that belief is a big part of what led me to social work. At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens in empathic, supportive relationships. When someone reaches out for help, I want them to feel met with compassion, respect, and a steady presence.
I believe children and teens do their best when they feel safe, understood, and cared for. I try to bring patience, warmth, and consistency into my work with young people so they have space to open up and grow. Whether they are struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, behavior concerns, or social stress, my hope is to help them feel more confident, resilient, and secure in who they are.
With adults, I take a grounded, collaborative, and strengths-based approach. I work with people facing anxiety, depression, life stress, parenting challenges, unhealthy patterns, and seasons of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I want to understand your story, what has shaped you, and what matters most to you so that our work together feels personal, meaningful, and genuinely helpful.
I also feel especially honored to work with veterans. I have deep respect for the experiences veterans carry, and I know those experiences can shape life in profound ways. My hope is to offer a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as you work through whatever challenges you may be facing.
I am a lifelong Catholic, and my faith is an important part of who I am. At the same time, I deeply respect other faith backgrounds and can incorporate faith into therapy only in the ways that feel comfortable and meaningful to you. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife, daughter, and four boys, whether that means being at a baseball or softball field, attending music recitals, or heading out on scouting adventures. Music has always been close to my heart, and I am grateful to stay involved through cantoring at Mass in the Joliet area and playing violin in community groups and orchestras.
I know reaching out for support can be difficult, and I would be honored to walk alongside you through whatever challenges you may be facing. My hope is that, in our work together, you experience healing, peace, and the steady comfort of God’s love.

Elizabeth Varela LPC, AMFT
THERAPIST
Children, Teens, Adults, Couples, Families (English/Spanish)
#fhtogglels/Read Full Bio/Close/ib
I believe that many sources of stress, emotional struggles, and relational challenges often develop within family systems, life transitions, and a limited understanding of our inner selves. The relationship between couples before and during family life deeply influences children’s emotional development and can continue to affect individuals well into adulthood.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), I am passionate about helping individuals from diverse cultures, ages, genders, and spiritual backgrounds discover their strengths, healing, and authentic selves. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, valued, and supported throughout their journey toward emotional and personal growth.
My work as an AMFT focuses on improving communication, strengthening relationships, and resolving conflict within couples and family systems. I believe that healing within the family unit can positively transform the emotional well-being of each individual. My active involvement in the Catholic faith gently informs my practice through compassion, respect, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping others navigate life’s challenges with hope and dignity.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and grounded in the biopsychosocial model, recognizing the connection between emotional, psychological, relational, social, and spiritual well-being. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and family systems approaches to help clients develop healthier coping skills, stronger relationships, and greater self-awareness.
I strive to create a compassionate, safe, and judgment-free environment where clients feel empowered to express themselves openly, heal from emotional pain, and discover renewed strength and purpose.
In addition to my counseling experience, I bring over 30 years of experience as a beautician, reflecting my lifelong passion for helping individuals feel confident and beautiful both inside and out. With 40 years of marriage and extensive experience in customer service, I understand the value of patience, connection, resilience, and nurturing supportive relationships.
Through my work, I hope to inspire healing, resilience, hope, and personal growth in every person I have the privilege to serve.

I offer counseling that is collaborative, practical, and grounded in respect for the dignity of each person. I believe people grow best when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged to take
meaningful responsibility for their lives. My work helps clients clarify what matters most to
them, reflect honestly on what is working and what is not, and take concrete steps toward lasting
change.
My approach draws primarily from solution-focused and choice-based counseling, with
integration of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, these approaches
emphasize strengths, values, and forward movement, while also making room for difficult
thoughts and emotions that are part of the human experience. Rather than trying to eliminate
discomfort, therapy focuses on learning how to respond to challenges with greater flexibility,
clarity, and intention.
I place strong emphasis on healthy relationships, personal agency, and accountability,
recognizing that individuals do not grow in isolation. Family life, community, work, culture, and
faith all shape how people understand themselves and make decisions. Counseling therefore
attends not only to internal experiences, but also to the systems and relationships in which clients
live.
My role is not to impose solutions, but to offer a steady and respectful space where clients can
think clearly, deepen insight, and move forward with confidence and hope.
While my work is informed by a Catholic understanding of the human person, my practice is
open to individuals and families of all faith traditions, as well as those who do not identify with
any religious belief. Therapy always begins with the client’s own values, goals, and lived
experience, and proceeds in a spirit of professionalism, respect, and care.*Working under the license and direct supervision of Kiah Enriquez, LCSW

Older Teens, Young Adults 18-40 (English/Spanish)

I have experienced the benefit of therapy and value how our life experiences shape us. How they shape us depends on what we do with them. Often, we encounter difficulties that may not make sense or even be our fault, but we can learn from them and grow through them. I care deeply for others and know personally how caring for the whole person- mind, body, and soul- brings healing.
I have learned that my skills and personality best match with those who are seeking support for ADHD, Bipolar, Addictions, and depression or anxiety. I work well with young adults and teen boys. The teen and young adult years can be very challenging with all of the growth, change, and transition that occurs. I will help you navigate these years and help you become the best version of yourself.
I also have a specific niche in that I am a first generation Mexican American and I provide therapy in both English and Spanish. I have a particular understanding of those who are first generation individuals. Understanding culture, your own identity, navigating family dynamics, and pursuing your own future are topics that I often address.
I am a very open individual who cares deeply for others and will walk the journey of healing with you. I tend to be very collaborative and solutions focused in my approach. I try to balance the need to process and seek understanding from the past with making lasting practical change in the present.
Outside of work, I enjoy being with my family (my wife and 7-year-old daughter), frisbee (Disc) golfing, music and being in nature. I am also a lifetime learner and will always work on expanding my understanding of life, the mind, and God. My Catholic faith is what gives my life meaning and hope and has shaped who I am as a person.
I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Jennifer Shea-Danalewich, MSW, LCSW, CSW-G, C-SWHC
THERAPIST
Adults

There are times when life challenges and painful experiences seem to cry out for reassurance, encouragement and a renewed sense of hope and confidence. Unexpected change, life transitions, family issues, parenting, navigating the school system, complex grief, post-abortion trauma, and caring for aging parents can trigger varying levels of chronic stress, anxiety, depression and a hole in one’s heart that can be difficult to manage without support. Choosing to engage in therapy is a courageous decision that draws on one’s resilience and vulnerability at the same time. Such a decision does, however, emerge from an inner belief that things can get better and it is through a willingness to share that I am available to help my clients establish a positive path forward.
My name is Jen Shea-Danalewich and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings with individuals of varying ages. I offer a warm and nurturing place with a personal and professional philosophy that hope can replace discouragement and sorrow while healing can coincide with new goals that have been reconciled within a sense of peace, emotional well-being and a healthy plan for the future.
My approach to therapy is solution-focused with an emphasis on problem-solving, acknowledgement, empathy and a focus on client strengths and resources. Religion and faith are an essential source of understanding and a foundation of strength for many people while offering a depth of meaning around life experiences. I offer integration of faith and therapy for this reason. I am a practicing Catholic and have a working knowledge of the Catholic faith. I am, however, comfortable working with clients from varied religious backgrounds.
In addition to the areas shared above, I also work with adolescents who are anticipating graduation and need assistance to establish next steps into adulthood. This stage in their lives is often filled with uncertainty and can lead to anxiety, frustration and even depression. My background in the field of education and knowledge of special education offers a unique foundation of support and guidance through these transitions with various aspects of the school system in mind. I have expertise in the field of aging and wide-ranging experience working with adult children of aging parents. Establishing a deeper understanding of dementia and other issues that impact older adults’ quality of life, functional capacity and independence is imperative. It serves as a foundation of reassurance that families need when unpredictable healthcare needs require complex decision-making, navigation of senior care and knowledge of appropriate resources.
One of my deepest and most heartfelt passions is to support, guide and educate individuals who are struggling with grief and loss. Although grief is a natural part of life and often associated with the death of a loved one, it can also emerge in the form of complicated, anticipatory, and traumatic grief. It is important to know that grief is also a normal response to divorce, miscarriage, diminished capacity, post-abortion and more. Grief is not intended to be experienced alone. I am available to walk this journey with you and to help you find answers while offering hope, guidance and understanding along the way toward acceptance and peace.
I believe a genuine connection and relationship between therapist and client is of the highest priority. It ensures a depth of sincerity and empathy that leads to the opportunity for openness, trust and the establishment of meaningful therapy goals. If you feel I can be of support to you based on the information I have shared above, please do not hesitate to reach out by clicking below to set up an initial meeting.
